FAITH - STEP 1, PERHAPS

"Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction." - John F Kennedy

This spoke to me today with regard to having Faith and living within Faith. From my perspective it takes both effort and courage to live a life within Faith. Effort is required to stay living in Faith and not be tempted, and courage to remain also in spite of the temptations of satan and others who are on a different path. Effort and courage together will help.

Yet - purpose and direction are tantamount to moving from the effort and courage stage to living within a standard of living a life of Faith. Any new beginning can be a bumpy ride. Example, watch a baby take his/her first steps. They fall, roll around, get frustrated occasionally; yet, they continue to get up and go again. They fall down and bump their head, cry in frustration. Yet, five minutes later, after a hug, and human and spiritual support, they are up and ready again. They have a sense of purpose and direction.

Live within purpose, and have FAITH - and be purposefully living in faith. Dust off the bumps, and stay within the direction. Or, perhaps, a direction adjustment with purpose and faith.

Suggestion: Like a child - have your snit, blow off steam, and then know in the morning, you will take a breath, check the purpose, check the direction and with faith take another, first step.

REDHOOK, NY - CARRIAGE SALE

Red Hook, NY is one of many small towns in the Hudson Valley. I had the priviledge and pleasure to visit with special friends this past weekend. The carriages pictured above are for sale.

These carriages are amazing - unfortunately I do not have descriptions, other than what I saw this past weekend. When the barn door opened, my eyes lit up. There is a surrey, complete with yellow wheels and fringe. The local school borrowed it for their play, "Oklahoma."

FORWARD OR BACKWARD - CHOICES, EACH

What a beautiful sunny day, the temperature is low 70s, all ahead in this precise minute is flat, calm and serene. Rather, I imagine, as it is today, as when riding in a motor boat on Lake Ontario. That is if you are in a boat facing forward.

If, however, you are facing aft, you will see rough water displaced by propellers forming the wake. Turbulent water huffs, puffs and churns creating a white, rough and frothy wave grasping and inhaling all small matter that happens in its path.

What are YOU focusing on?

Suggestion: Simply stated --- Face Forward at the end of the day. Finish your day to acknowledge and appreciate in worship. Then be in gratitude for all that you do have and for all that you are learning, and ....... sleep well.

POWER - INTERESTING ..........

Yet -- true and real Faith, will provide energy, strength and support.

This is a quick one. I have had very minimal quiet time lately to create. I miss it. Yet, when something resonates, I simply feel an intense need to share.
