FORWARD OR BACKWARD - CHOICES, EACH

(Photo found on Flickr)

What a beautiful sunny day, the temperature is low 70s, all ahead in this precise minute is flat, calm and serene. Rather, I imagine, as it is today, as when riding in a motor boat on Lake Ontario. That is if you are in a boat facing forward.

If, however, you are facing aft, you will see rough water displaced by propellers forming the wake. Turbulent water huffs, puffs and churns creating a white, rough and frothy wave grasping and inhaling all small matter that happens in its path.

What are YOU focusing on?

Suggestion: Simply stated --- Face Forward at the end of the day. Finish your day to acknowledge and appreciate in worship. Then be in gratitude for all that you do have and for all that you are learning, and ....... sleep well.

Good morning Susan-this is Dana from Fairport and first let me say that your an amazing writer.

Your post has touched my life in so many ways and I want to thank you for that.

Love all your post and have been taking your suggestion and finishing my day facing forward and acknowledging and worshiping.

Each day I take a moment and write down what gratitude has done for me and it so works. I've been learning so much with your post and I look forward to your next one..

It's so important to face forward and love the picture of the motor boat and your concept behind it.

I try each day facing forward yet there are days that gets a bit challenging depending what's going on that day in my life. However, when I do your suggestion I get such a peace and calmness over me.

Great job....Embrace all the moments..

Bob here from Buffalo..Susan you are such a delight and refreshing inspiration to all of us.

Your post has helped my family and I and our 2 kids boy and a girl to come together as a family and through your teachings you have brought our family closer together.

Our family has been drifting and one night when I found your site on Yahoo I gather the whole family together and we talked about some of your post. Your newest one has had a tremendous amount of positive feedback from our family along with your other ones.

The kids are starting to feel more needed and wanted and are appreciated what there mother and I are doing for them..

Awhile back my wife and I were in the process of a divorce and the kids did not take the news well. Then that started all sorts of problems. However, we were able to come to terms and seeking help and now through your blog for us to continue putting forth effort on making our marriage work and we want to put our family back together and obtain that closeness that all of us had at one time.

Your post are very uplifting and they have been very beneficial to us all.

Looking forward to your next one. Also great job to your photographer on the pictures...We look forward to seeing more of them. This is my first comment. Yet we have been following you now for awhile now at least 4 months or more..

Hello Susan----this is Carrie love your suggestion as I have been implementing that into my daily routine as it becomes a way of life for me to do so.

It's great how you feel afterwards it's like gets rid of your stress and it helps you unwind.

Also love your one on faith and I'm striving to put more faith in God as lately when I don't put my faith in God then the day turns out to be not a great day. Where as when I doing have faith everything falls into place nicely.

Wow I remember that movie love the picture of the chairs I use to have some of them. I follow your blog on a regular basis and this is my first post...Tell your photographer that the picture looks great being it came off of a cell phone.

Looking forward to seeing more pictures as your photographer does a excellent job capturing detail to the pictures. Please pass that word along.

Looking forward to your next post.
