WHY ARE YOU ASKING?

This used to be me. I would think of something, create something, and then ask people what they thought? It paralyzed me in so many ways, now that I look back.

When we look to other people for validation with questions such as, "What do you think of this," or "Would you read this please, and tell me what you think?"

Before I continue - it is great to check in with what others are thinking; however, if what they say becomes who you try to be, well............

When you ask, and get an answer that is different from yours -- it can seem to be that you are "wrong" and they have become "right."

My suggestion is -- think again, before accepting, responding, or acting on the reply to the question asked. Sometimes simply saying something out loud will help. Or, ask someone else what they think. Get the "second opinion."

If it is a piece of writing - send it to 100 publishers before you re-evaluate, perhaps. Or your max might be 50. Show it to 10 galleries before you use your masterpiece for target shooting. Or, simply, stash it away, for another day. (Unabashed advertisement - or hire a coach and discover what YOU TRULY THINK, under all that "stuff".

Suggestion: Removing attachment will change your vision. Unless there is a deadline, step away from the creation and review it when the ego is asleep. After all, the people you asked, may have been using their ego also. And, ego, is a whole new subject that reared it's ugly head, interesting.

Squeeze the joy!
